Al-Ittihad Football Club is a social, cultural and sports club in Tripoli, Libya. It was founded on July 29, 1944 in Tripoli. It is considered the dean and leader of Libyan clubs as it is the first club established in Libya and has the largest number
of local championships. The club building is currently located in the Bab Bin Ghashir area. He won the Libyan League championship seventeen times, the Libyan Cup six times, the Premier Cup or what is known as the Libyan Super Cup ten times
in its history, and the Libyan Federation Cup once. It is the first Libyan club to represent Libyan football in the African championships when it participated in the year 1967 AD and reached the quarter-finals. But he withdrew at the time.
The three rings in the Al-Ittihad club logo refer to the states of Cyrenaica, Fezzan and Tripolitania, the former historical states in Libya. A star was added to the logo in 2003 after winning the club's tenth league title.
